President Ralph Eichler of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) in Switzerland visited Tsinghua on May 9. Tsinghua University President Gu Binglin had a discussion with Profefssor Eichler on future cooperation between Tsinghua and ETH Zurich.

During their discussion, President Gu briefly introduced Professor Eichler to Tsinghua’s recent efforts in discipline development and research. He noted that Tsinghua encourages faculty and students to seek more overseas experience and also welcomes international students to study here at Tsinghua. The two presidents exchanged ideas on promoting collaboration between Tsinghua and ETH Zurich through expanded programs for student and faculty exchange and joint research.

ETH Zurich’s The Big Band will give a performance at Tsinghua on the evening of May 16th.
