Nobel price laureates Dr. Johann Deisenhofer and Dr. Avram Hershko visited Tsinghua University May 1. Tsinghua Vice President Gong Ke met and talked with Dr. Johann Deisenhofer and Dr. Avram Hershko.

Invited by Prof. Rao Zihe, Dr. Deisenhofer and Dr. Hershko visited the Laboratory on Protein Science in the life science and medical research institute of Tsinghua University, where they listened the presentations by Tsinghua students and discussed with them on their research works.

Dr. Deisenhofer was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1988. In 2004, Dr. Hershko was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
